The search engine is not case sensitive and does not take into consideration accented characters. Certain characters are eliminated by the search engine. (ex.: Bang! Pyrotecnik is the same as bang pyrotecnik, U.H.T is the same as UHT or U.HT)

1. Quick Search
This search engine is available by the home page and is used when you want to search for a specific :
  • Company Name
  • Product or service
  • Trademark

When using the Quick Search, if you do not know the exact spelling of a word or if you wish to find all forms of a word, use the character * (asterisk). 

Example: tabl* will return table, tables, tablecloths, tableware,  etc.
*wear will return footwear, beachwear, formalwear, underwear, etc.
2. Advanced Search
This search engine is available by a link on the home page.  It allows you to search for companies using one or more of the following criteria:
  • Territory in Québec (Administrative region, Municipality, Postal code)
  • Business Category (Manufacturer,  distributor/Wholesaler, Service company)
  • Business Sector (NAICS)
  • Product Lists (manufactured or wholesale) or services available in Québec
  • Number of employees
  • Sales Figure
  • Company's Export situation (Exports, Do not export, Interest for exportation)
  • Company's Territory of Sales
3. Combined Search
This search engine is available by a link on the home page.  It enables you to combine two search results that you have saved beforehand using the Quick, the Advanced or the Combined Search.  This tool is very useful when you need to refine your search.  

Only the result of your search is saved; not the criteria used to obtain the result.

To save a search result, use the "Save this result" button at the bottom of a search result page.  Type in a brief description and take note of the search result number given by the system.  This number will be requested when you use the combined search. 

This result will be available only 72 hours.

IMPORTANT: Do not use your browser's Back and Forward buttons.  It can cause our system to lose the thread of your search.  It is preferable to use the navigation buttons of the icriq.com website.
